Pre-Vintage Bold Week 2 Bold Faith

do you have enough? how could i get more? what does it even matter? how was i supposed to know? what am I going to do tomorrow? what am I going to do with the rest of my life?.... these are questions.... and not just questions... but questions of faith....
so there is this matter of belief and this matter of follow through and both are a matter of faith...

Faith is a word that seems to get thrown around a lot today in our culture.  In a lot of cases we aren’t real sure what to make of it because a lot of people that say they have faith in God, but don’t live like it. In fact, it seems as though, this is what faith has become, saying you possess it but not allowing it to take hold of us. We are worried that if we did allow it to take hold of us, we would be made to look like a fool, or have to give up some worldly possession or be asked to do something we really don’t want to do such as move to Africa. Maybe we are just scared that others at our school will see us as a Jesus freak and become the kid who sits alone at the lunch table by ourselves.

conviction-
we all cling to, and believe something... but is what we cling and believe to big enough, great enough, worthy enough of our all whole life?

motivation-
what are we doing with what we believe? are we acting on it? are sharing it? are we waiting with it?... again we return to questions... if faith is anything it is for sure a bunch of questions that drive us to answers (i hope)....fear is the opposite of faith... the worry, the anxiety the hopelessness this is the enemy of faith...

faith is the drive to the answer- the pursuit of truth... the walk to understanding...

“Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! I hope you will find out that we have not failed the test. But we pray to God that you may not do wrong—not that we may appear to have met the test, but that you may do what is right, though we may seem to have failed. For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth. For we are glad when we are weak and you are strong. Your restoration is what we pray for. For this reason I write these things while I am away from you, that when I come I may not have to be severe in my use of the authority that the Lord has given me for building up and not for tearing down.
Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”
(2 Corinthians 13:5–11 ESV)

..... so what say you....are you in faith... or fear...
