FEAR...
so there this haunting quality about God that I feel like needs to be addressed.... as much
maybe it is better addressed as a quality that is lacking in us... we don’t “fear God” as we should...
whether it is because we have never considered it....
or because we feel too familiar to
or because we take God’s presence, name, lightly....
i am always careless in forgetting that the first commandments are not just about God but about the carelessness of God’s role/relationship... for instance the fourth commandment doesn’t state “never speak God’s name” but that we are never to speak it in vain, carelessness, emptiness... for God’s name, presence is powerful, holy....
there are a several occasions where the quality of a man (mankind, womankind) is noted by their ability or inability to fear the Lord
Fear of God as the beginning of Wisdom (Understanding- Truthful existence)
there are also several times when the presence of the Lord is met with physical fear and the messenger/angelic being is trying to calm
Fear of God as the center of Worship (Authentic existence)
