The third character in the parable is the elder son the loyalist that stayed at the house tending to his business but not of his father's heart
You see when his younger brother came
home the older was not pleased... Though he was still going to get his portion he didn't approve of his father's love
He was jealous! He coveted love even though he was in his father's presence the whole time previous... The older son is possessive... The is being his attitude his perspective...
The heavens are not far away but here surrounding us
